Tracking Incoming Links

This is a concern of mine, now that I’m really blogging. Whose listening?

Scott Kingerly has been helping me with Web 2.0 how-tos, and his blog generally discusses how to use blogging technologies. Here’s an article about using IceRocket to track blog references. This is something I’d like for my blogs, and to add to the tagging interface as well.

I’m using some basic searches at IceRocket and Findory to see what’s going on. There is Fred’s article Blog Link Tracking which I’ve used as a starting point.

UPDATE: Ping-O-Matic has a list of services it pings. This is a list of services I should investigate.

Have a look at Blogomatic: http://www.kbcafe.com/rss/blogomatic.aspx

You just enter your RSS feed and the service takes care of the rest. You _definately_ want to be pinging somehow. Especially if you are tagging because that is how the tagging services find your blog.

One more thing… there’s no “L” in my last name :)

    Thanks Scott!
