October Software Directions

I’m going to start working with Groovy. It is going to be while to get a build environment setup, but that’s the plan, Groovy in Eclipse. I plan on turning Eclispe into my day to day environment and scirpting it with Groovy.

I’ve started a new project Refresh. It starts with creating Ruby to modern C++ language bindings, and results in a new web browser. Initial tasks include setting up a build environment, which is probably Rant.

Think New Orleans 2.0 starts up again tonight, which is Relay driven. Momento becomes an XML filesystem, which is what it was all along. (Ruby it teaching me to think bigger.) Relay, XStrategy, and Enfilade are driving this application, and hopefully that will get some interest and some adoption.

I’m gradually moving my builds over to Ivy+Ant, and Groovy may make an appearence soon. Also embracing the Mediawiki to build out resources for The Engine Room.
